SUPPORT OUR VETERANS

Operation Homeless Veterans

"It just seem like America don't care anymore..." While watching a PIX11 News video about homeless veterans, I was heartbroken to hear a veteran say this. I want homeless veterans to know there are people who care about them, and I hope to get America on board too.

Founded by a Girl Scout Ambassador working on her Gold Award, Operation Homeless Veterans was started to bring awareness to the homeless veterans crisis, particularly in Los Angeles County. Our mission is to educate the public about the issue as a whole, from what causes homelessness in the veterans population, to what we can do as civilians to help them get back on their feet.

Within this website, you can find a plethora of information. Under Resources, you can find different sources already in place to help homeless veterans, with a short description of what they do. Under Facts, you can find different statistics and background information regarding the homeless veterans population. Under Other, you can find different videos about homeless veterans, "food for thought," and our Instagram posts. Lastly, under Our Mission, you can find out more about why Operation Homeless Veterans was started, and what exactly a Gold Award project is!
